How far will the 2016 Volt go?
Since the very first Chevy Volt nearly silently arrived to the Chevrolet of Naperville showroom it has more than lived up to the hype. As the second generation of the Chevy hybrid is nearing its arrival date to our dealership, we have been seeing an increase in the number of inquiries wondering how far the 2016 Volt will travel. Basically, there is no aspect to the range of the new Volt that has not benefitted from a bevy of new technology. Comparing the first generation Volt to the upcoming second generation, owns waiting for the new model will see a 40 percent improvement. (more…)
New 2016 Chevy Volt commercial
Chevrolet always keeps its eyes down the road to be able to bring the latest in automotive technology to its customers. One of the first venues this technology was shown off was the World’s Fair held at various sites around the country. These were the kinds of expositions where electric lights were first shown off by Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla wowed crowds with his various ground breaking inventions. In the 21st century, there aren’t many better ways to capture a person’s attention than featuring a product in a major motion picture. How much will the 2016 Chevy Volt cost?
One of the most exciting vehicles coming down the pipe for Chevy this year is the second generation, 2016 Chevy Volt. After making its initial debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the vehicle’s capabilities and potential performance from the new Volt’s upgraded battery system. However, Chevy has finally gotten around to giving customers the information that can really sway a decision, that is price. So, how much will the 2016 Chevy Volt cost? Chevy cars in Tomorrowland
Chevrolet vehicles are no strangers to the big screen. The Chevrolet of Naperville Blog has written a few posts about current and future concept models showing up in the successful Transformers series. However, a new movie coming out starring George Clooney is combining the forward vision of Chevy technology with the magic of Disney. In the upcoming “Tomorrowland” movie, Clooney plays a scientist that must work with an young teenage partner to solve a problem involving time and space. During the film, the 2016 Chevy Volt and EN-V concept vehicle will be featured in roles that aren’t clear right now. The film is set to debut on May 22. (more…)
2016 Volt improvements
The development of the 2016 Chevy Volt was certainly a huge undertaking by Chevrolet, General motors and the design/engineering team that worked on the project. During the unpleasantness of the “Great Recession” there were many people who didn’t believe the Chevy Volt was ever going to see the outside of the room where it existed on paper. Once it was released to the public, a small, but fierce and loyal following started supporting its production through buying and leasing it and them doing it again with another model. The 2016 Volt marks the second generation of the Chevy gas electric hybrid and a peak behind the curtain was revealed. (more…)
Interior of the 2016 Volt
The news keeps rolling out about the fantastic 2016 Chevy Volt that is making its way to Chevrolet of Naperville next year. We have already discussed the performance of the new Chevy hybrid. However, as we see more photos of the interior of the 2016 Volt and learn more about all of the elements that are included, we simply get more impressed. The forward portion of the passenger cabin features a kind-of dual-cockpit design that is featured in other Chevy passenger cars like the Impala. Overall, the interior of the 2016 Volt is built to be contemporary and inviting while still having a very fresh feel. It would be safe to say there is almost nothing like it in the hybrid class. Release date for the 2016 Chevy Volt
Chevrolet took center stage on Monday with the unveiling of the second generation 2016 Chevy Volt. The new electric/gasoline hybrid has been greatly improved over the previous versions to include vastly improved range as well as improved acceleration and braking. Additionally, the new design of the new Volt is sleeker and sportier. The release date for the 2016 Chevy Volt is set for the second half of 2015. In terms of General Motors’ time, this would allow for a delivery period to Chevrolet of Naperville of mid-summer; right at the peak of driving season. This is certainly one of the biggest items to come from Chevy at the Detroit Auto Show.
2016 Chevy Volt at CES
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held annually in Las Vegas is currently well underway. There are a handful of automakers at the expo touting various advancements and concepts of the future. One of the headliners in the automotive world, was the sneak peak of the 2016 Chevy Volt at CES. By all accounts we have found online of the event, is that there were enough lights to put an 80s rock and roll show to shame and only the front end of the new car was shown. Chevrolet is still mums-the-word about the new Volt’s capabilities. Although those answers will come next week when the 2016 Volt in officially unveiled at North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
All-Wheel Drive Vehicles
The popularity of all-wheel drive vehicles has risen quite a bit, along with the increase in the desire for more small crossover and utility vehicles. Mainly, shoppers are just looking for AWD and it typically doesn’t come in sedans, much less an electric vehicle. The Volt may just become that rare bird. (more…)
New Technologies for the 2016 Volt
The 2016 Chevy Volt will be shown off at the North American International Auto Show. There are going to be a couple of new technologies for the 2016 Volt that will be shown off during the auto show. Chevy engineers have already managed to give drivers the technology to ensure they very rarely need to use the gasoline range extender. These ideas for new technologies for the 2016 Volt are not just good hypotheses that made it into production. The engineers working on the new car used previous owner feedback to ensure they were hitting all of the notes to make the new Volt a more user-friendly vehicle. (more…)
